Species in Season

Each season, our goal is to target specific species by mastering the art of using tailored bait, lures, and timing strategies. Here's a glimpse of the exciting variety of fish currently in season, awaiting your encounter out on the water!

Active Freshwater Fish

Bass

Largemouth bass are typically active in the early spring and early fall, usually in the early morning and late evening. Whereas Smallmouth bass are active in mid-summer when water levels recede.

Crappies

Black crappies and white crappies, are most active in the spring as they migrate to shallow waters.

Pickerel

Chain pickerel are most seen throughout early May to July, in the early morning and late evening. 

Panfish

Spring is typically the best time to find these panfish as they tend to spawn in shallow water when water temperatures exceed 70 degrees, such as blue gill, pumpkinseed, and sunfish. Can be best found at dawn or dusk. 

Catfish

Summer is prime for catfish season as they become much more active in the warmer weather, like other fish they are most active at dawn and dusk.
