With more than 400 documented days on the water, Eric is an experienced sailor, paddler and power boater. Eric is certified by the American Sailing Association (ASA) in Basic Keelboat Sailing, Basic Coastal Cruising, Intermediate Coastal Cruising and Bareboat Chartering back in 2002. Eric has owned, raced and cruised boats ranging from 12-37 feet, including a Beneteau First 310, Catalina Capri 22 (tall mast, fin keel), a Beneteau 361 and a Pacific Seacraft Dana 24. Eric’s racing keelboat racing experience includes multiple national championship regattas, including the Beneteau 36.7 and J30 national championships.
A lifelong paddler and fisherman. Eric’s deeply experienced in freshwater lake and pond fishing (bass, panfish, catfish and pike), inshore fishing the gulf coast (redfish, speckled trout, snapper and flounder) and inshore Hingham Bay and Boston Harbor fishing for flounder and stripers. Eric fishes year-round and loves to fish targeting specific species or utilizing specific techniques. Given the amount of forever chemicals in most freshwater lakes, Eric prefers the “catch-photo-release approach” to freshwater fishing to ensure healthy fisheries in the future. Eric wishes to share this knowledge and these experiences with others as part of Canis Major Fishing Adventures LLC.
